Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is basically a motorized version of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to allow the operator to walk alongside the machinery as they pick up and transport loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of loads over extended distances within warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are highly fast and maneuverable.
It is vital to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and hence, it is not recommended to transport tall or unstable loads using these equipment. A rider can be the right answer if you are looking for an inexpensive method for moving cargo from one place to another. If though, you should transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right alternative.
Order Selector
An Order Selector also goes by the name of Order picker. This equipment is particularly designed for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks attached to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load with a purpose to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Usually, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which can operate in smaller aisles. They are extremely handy pieces of machine in cycle counting situations as well as during physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are a lot more common.
