CareLift Equipment has been designing and making excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to help all their consumers reach their goals and deliver value since they know the bottom line is performance and dependability.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These units are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Normally, these models are hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal alternative for tasks which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a really versatile machine. These models are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models perform jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work site.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is required prior to operating boom lifts in order to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks that used to need a lot more man hours to be done in a much shorter time period. These machines have revolutionized the material handling industry and have greatly increased productivity.
