Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160�° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. Continuous, 360�° rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model could also reach 110�° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were inaccessible by traditional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time.
