A forklift to be a successful model should be built strong to last the working environments for numerous hours of use. It should be able to transport loads effectively and quickly as well. The machinery must also be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and reliable. The powertrain requires the power to continually provide great durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with extremely tough shafts and strong gears. The engine, transmission, drive and steer axle are all isolated to lessen vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
GM's gas engines and Mazda's LP engine utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These types of machines offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that needs minimal repair or adjustment. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engine offer a higher compression ratio leading to enhanced torque. Amazing fuel consumption is provided by effective fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on nearly all machinery. It features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts which give resistance when driving on rough environment. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available that adjusts automatically so as to lessen maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission uses computer-controlled power reversal to increase durability, extend the life of the tires and to eliminate shock loading. Also, the auto deceleration feature reduces brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is designed for added durability with its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This particular component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are entirely sealed against contamination and basically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. What's more, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included lots of safety features and ergonomic features. These machinery will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both safe and comfortable for the duration of their shift.
