Designed for Safety
Yale has a great history for offering safe lift trucks that are suitable for a range of applications. The ability to design and manufacture models for improved safety comes from the new technology which is available in the material handling industry and the company's experience.
Yale likes to incorporate new technology which is available into their newest designs. Several of the new technologies that are available are initially applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through durability testing and functionality. The company performs many controlled field tests and reliability development in order to make sure that their products are really safe.
Some of Yale's new designs and technology which has been integrated as standard features for their fleet so as to improve overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Ergonomics and Controls
The ergonomics in the operator compartment along with the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to guarantee that the operator avoids exhaustion and heavy repetitive motions. These added comforts help to increase overall production.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Having adjustable operator's controls and compartments allows the necessary controls to be able to be positioned near a huge range of operators. This helps make the equipment user friendly, regardless of who is utilizing it. Prior to starting their shift, the operator can make sure she or he is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation called the Operator Presence System prevents the operation of the machinery if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on internal combustion engine truck units.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The drop-down design brings the liquid propane gas tank out from the protected center of the truck and down to the natural handling position of the operator making the tank easier to change.
